At forum “Life Sciences Baltics 2018”


On 26-27 September 2018 head of Communication and Technology Transfer Center (CTTC) dr. Egidijus Kasiulis, innovation and technology transfers specialists dr. Vilma Naujokienė and Indrė Bručienė, commercialisation manager Asta Bendoraitytė and intellectual property specialist Milda Žaliauskaitė participated in the biggest international life science forum in the Baltic countries „Life Sciences Baltics 2018”. During the event CTTC team presented the potential of Aleksandras Stulginskis University research and scientific services in life science field, were looking for future partners from private and public sector and participated in B2B meetings. The colourful and healthy, production of Edita Denilčenko company „Sotu Sotu“ attracted the visitors to the University stand. The new product –  dry honey – the powder of honey, derived by evaporating water using innovative equipment gained the biggest attention and greatest comments from the visitors of the forum.

Bi-annual international forum „Life Sciences Baltics“ is attended by the world-class experts of biotechnology, medicine and pharmacy from all over the world to discuss the newest tendencies in the field of life science. More than 60 companies from USA, German, Italy, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, China and Great Britain participated in the fair.  The forum also incorporated an international conference. This year the keynote speaker of the conference was the winner of 2012 Nobel Prize in chemistry prof. B. K. Kobilka. During the forum, ten promising start-up companies presented their business ideas for the investors in the pitch challenge organised by Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
